Frequently asked questions.

What does one search return?

Every business Google Maps lists for that trade in that city, up to the depth you set: 100, 300, 500 or 700. Each one comes back with 34 columns read from Google Maps and the business’s own website, filled where the data exists.

How is an email marked Verified?

Each address is read from the business’s own public pages and listings, up to three per business, and checked against its mail server before it is marked Verified. ShowFirst never generates or guesses an address. Verification is on by default and costs 1 extra credit per verified address; with it switched off for a search, addresses show as found, without the Verified mark.

What phone data comes with each business?

Up to five numbers per business. Each one is labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, with the carrier where it is known.

What does the Owner column show?

The owner’s name where the business publishes it, with the title it gives. The column stays blank when no name is published.

What is the online presence report?

A one-page report on a business’s website, under your agency’s name, logo and colour. Make it from any lead’s page and send the link. The link opens without a sign-in and is kept out of search results. It costs no credits.

Can I search for businesses whose Google listing shows no website?

Yes. Before you start, set the Website option to “Google listing shows no website”. Businesses whose Google listing shows a website are excluded from the search and never charged. A listing whose only link is a Facebook, Instagram, Yelp or directory page counts as showing no website. Each result includes the listing, phone numbers and reviews. Its online presence report reviews the Google listing instead of a website: claimed status, rating, opening hours and categories, with “No website found” as the lead finding. Results can also be narrowed by website status after a search, and that filter carries through to the export.

Can one search cover a region or a state?

Yes. A campaign runs one keyword across a list of cities, a region or a state, at a depth you set per location, and removes the businesses that appear in more than one place.

How do credits work?

One credit per business a search returns with a phone or website; none for a business with neither. Email verification is on by default and adds 1 credit per verified email address; it can be switched off for any search. A Google Ads check is 1 credit per business checked. Owner names, the no-website filter, the online presence report and exports use no extra credits. A search holds up to 2 credits per result with verification on, 1 with it off, and unused credits come back when it finishes. A search that finds nothing costs 10 credits. A free account gets 100 lead credits once. Paid plans reset each month; unused credits do not roll over. There is no contract; a plan ends from Settings.

Is there an API or MCP server?

Yes. Every search downloads as a CSV in Simple, Advanced, GoHighLevel or Instantly format. A key from the API keys page runs searches and campaigns from your own tools, and the MCP server connects Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT.
