The Agent Tab: A Plain Guide

Read this first: the agent changes your live site. Read its reply before you treat a change as done. If a change is wrong, click Undo under that reply.

Where to find it

  1. Open Site agent in the dashboard sidebar.
  2. Choose a site from the menu at the top. Only sites that have finished building are listed. If none have, the menu reads "No finished websites yet".
  3. Type what you want. Press Enter or click Send. Shift+Enter starts a new line.

View site at the top opens the chosen site. A message can be up to 4000 characters.

Chats

Your first message starts a chat, named after that message. Chats are saved. Recent chats lists the latest. View all chats shows the rest. + New Chat starts a new one.

Effort

Pick one of two buttons under the message box before you send:

Credits

The top bar shows your agent credits left. A new account gets 100,000 agent credits once.

Each finished reply shows how many tokens it used. With no credits left, the agent does not take new requests and shows "You're out of agent credits." The Buy credits button does not sell credits yet.

Example requests

AreaExample
Text"Change the homepage headline to …"
SEO"Write a new SEO description for the About page."
Theme"Make the main colour darker."
Menu"Set the menu to Home, Services, About, Contact."
New content"Add a blog post about … and keep it as a draft."
Photos"Use the photo I attached as the homepage hero image."

While it works

The reply lists each step as it runs, such as "Looking up site fields" or "Updating site content". A Stop button shows until it finishes.

Stop ends the request after the current step. A step that is already writing is finished first. If a change landed before it stopped, the reply says so and offers Undo.

When it is done, Tool activity lists every step. If the agent cleared the site cache, the reply says the change is live now.

Undo

Before its first change in a reply, the agent saves a copy of your site settings, the fields on your pages, services and service areas, and your theme files. Undo puts that copy back. The button shows "Rolling back…" and the reply is then marked Rolled back. Each reply can be rolled back once.

Undo does not remove a page, service, service-area page or post the agent created. To remove one, delete it in WP Admin.
