How to edit your footer and social links
What this covers
The footer is the bottom section of every page. It shows your logo and business name, a short description, an optional note, your social links, lists of your services, service areas and pages, and your contact details.
Where to find it
- Log in to your site's WordPress admin.
- In the left menu, click Website Editor.
- Click Global Values.
Footer fields
| Field | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Footer blurb | The short description under your name. Blank shows your business tagline. |
| Footer emergency note (optional, shown under the footer brand blurb) | One line under the description. It shows only when you fill it in. |
| Phone, Email, Address | The contact details in the footer. A detail with no value is left out. |
| Gallery page (publishes the page at /gallery/ and links it from the footer) | A switch. Off by default. Turn it on to publish your gallery page and add a link to it in the footer's page list. |
| Gallery footer link text | The text of that footer link. Blank keeps "Gallery". |
Social links
Paste the full address of each profile you want to show. Each one becomes an icon link in the footer.
- Facebook page URL
- Instagram profile URL
- LinkedIn page URL
- YouTube channel URL
- TikTok profile URL
- X (Twitter) profile URL
- Yelp page URL
- Google Business Profile URL
A blank box adds no icon. An address typed without https:// gets it added. The links open in a new tab.
Click Save at the bottom of the tab.
Good to know
- The footer's Service Areas list is left out when your site has no service-area pages.
- Contact page titles and hours headings are on the section headings page. Opening hours are on the business info and design page.
- To check your change, open any page of your site in a new tab and scroll to the bottom.
