How to add and edit reviews, photos, and FAQs
What this covers
Three kinds of lists on your site: customer reviews, gallery photos, and questions and answers (FAQs). Reviews and photos each have their own tab in the Website Editor. FAQs belong to a page and are edited in the Content tab.
Where to find it
- Log in to your site's WordPress admin.
- In the left menu, click Website Editor.
- Click Reviews, Photos or Content.
Reviews
- Click the Reviews tab. Each review is shown under the reviewer's name.
- Click Add for a new review, or change the boxes on an existing one.
- Fill in the fields: Reviewer name, Review, Stars (1–5), Review source, Review date and Review link.
- Use Move up and Move down to change the order, or Remove to delete a review from the list.
- Click Save.
The reviews show in the reviews section of your site.
Photos
- Click the Photos tab.
- Click Add photo. Your WordPress media library opens. Upload new photos or select ones already there. You can select more than one.
- For each photo, fill in Alt text (a short description of the picture for screen readers and search engines) and, if you want, a Caption.
- Use Move up, Move down and Remove to arrange the list.
- Click Save.
These photos are used on your gallery page and in the home page photo gallery section. Captions show under each photo on the gallery page. The gallery page is off until you turn it on with Gallery page in Global Values. The home page section is turned on in Theme, under Look switches, on designs that offer it.
If the media library cannot open, the tab shows Image URL, Alt text and Caption boxes instead. Paste the photo's address and click Add photo.
FAQs
- Click the Content tab.
- Choose the page in the Page list.
- Scroll to the FAQs field. Each row has a Question and an Answer.
- Click Add for a new row, type in a row to change it, or click Remove to delete it.
- Click Save.
Good to know
- Saving the Reviews tab or the Photos tab saves only that list.
- FAQ rows have no Move buttons. To change the order, remove a row and add it again.
- The headings above the reviews, gallery and FAQ sections are set in Global Values. See section headings.
